Mental Health Care Where Students Are
MCNY partners with schools and community organizations across New York to bring mental health support directly to students who need it most — right in their schools, during the school day.

Bringing Care Into the Classroom
Our school-based program removes the barriers that prevent students from getting the support they need — no transportation, no missed days, no stigma.
Referral
A school administrator, guidance counselor, parent, or guardian submits a referral through our school request form.
Assessment
Our clinical team reviews the referral and conducts an initial assessment to understand the student's needs and match them with the right clinician.
Ongoing Support
The student receives regular therapy sessions at school with a licensed clinician, with progress shared collaboratively with families and school staff.
Built for Schools. Designed for Students.
Embedded in Schools
Our clinicians are placed directly within partner school districts, providing on-site therapy so students can access care during the school day without transportation barriers.
Evidence-Based Care
We use CBT, TF-CBT, DBT, and Solution-Focused Brief Therapy — all proven approaches for children and adolescents dealing with anxiety, trauma, behavioral challenges, and more.
Bilingual Support
Our bilingual clinicians (English/Spanish) ensure that language is never a barrier to care, especially within Hispanic and multicultural communities.
Collaborative Approach
We work alongside teachers, guidance counselors, parents, and administrators to create a coordinated support system around each student.
Easy Referral Process
Schools can refer students through our simple request form. Parents and guardians can also request services directly in English or Spanish.
Trauma-Informed
All of our school-based clinicians are trained in trauma-informed care, recognizing that many students carry experiences that affect their ability to learn and thrive.
What We Help Students With
Our clinicians are trained to support school-aged children and adolescents across a wide range of challenges.
