About Matthew
With 18 years of experience, Matthew (Matt) Scheuer, LCSW, is a dedicated therapist specializing in PTSD, trauma, anxiety, depression, couples therapy, and life transitions. He works with children, adolescents, adults, veterans, LGBTQ+ individuals, the elderly, and low-income populations.
Matt earned his MSW from Rutgers University in 2016 and his Bachelor's from Niagara University in 2007. He is EMDR-trained and currently completing Gottman Level 1 training.
Matt welcomes clients just as they are, meeting them wherever they stand. Using CBT, EMDR, Motivational Interviewing, and Relational Therapy, he helps clients process trauma, manage anxiety, and build resilience.
Matt is a 13-year Army veteran with two combat deployments, bringing a unique depth of understanding to his work with veterans and individuals facing trauma. Outside of work he loves skiing, volunteering, and traveling.
