About Kimberly

Kim Keene, LMSW, CASAC-T, is a compassionate therapist who brings both professional expertise and personal insight to her work with adults and LGBTQIA+ individuals navigating addiction and recovery, major life transitions, anxiety, depression, trauma, and PTSD. A 2024 graduate of Keuka College with her MSW, Kim has dedicated the past two years to supporting clients through some of life's most challenging moments, including those working through substance use disorders and individuals preparing for or recovering from bariatric surgery. As a proudly neurodivergent clinician with ADHD, Kim draws on her own experiences to create deeply empathetic, affirming therapeutic spaces where clients feel truly seen and understood.

Kim's approach to therapy is warmly collaborative rather than hierarchical. Integrating DBT, Motivational Interviewing, Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, Humanistic, Person-Centered, and Mindfulness-based techniques, she works alongside clients to help them discover their own strengths and realize they've had the answers within themselves all along. Kim is passionate about empowering clients to trust themselves, regulate their emotions, and transform overwhelming pain into genuine empowerment. She views the therapeutic relationship as mutually enriching, finding growth and insight through her clients' journeys while providing a safe space for authentic self-expression and healing. Kim is particularly inspired by witnessing individuals develop self-awareness, utilize effective coping skills, and create meaningful, fulfilling lives.

Outside the therapy room, Kim embraces wellness and adventure in equal measure. She enjoys RVing and camping, traveling to new places, and cozying up with a good book and a warm cup of coffee or tea. A dedicated practitioner of mindfulness, Kim practices yoga and meditation, and is currently completing her RYT-200 (Registered Yoga Teacher) certification. When she's not exploring the outdoors or deepening her wellness practice, you might find her scrolling social media for new recipes to try, crafting stories, or spending quality time with family. Kim's commitment to holistic well-being informs every aspect of her therapeutic work, helping clients cultivate balance, self-compassion, and lasting transformation.
