About Jordan

Jordan Brooks, LMSW, is a mental health therapist who specializes in working with children, adolescents, and young adults navigating anxiety, trauma, depression, social anxiety, and major life transitions. A graduate of the University at Buffalo School of Social Work (2025), Jordan is certified in school social work and youth mental health first aid. With a warm, collaborative, and trauma-informed approach, Jordan is passionate about supporting individuals who feel stuck, overwhelmed, or misunderstood—helping them develop healthier coping skills, build confidence, strengthen relationships, and create meaningful, lasting change. Jordan utilizes an integrative therapeutic approach that incorporates Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), Person-Centered Therapy, Strengths-Based Therapy, Solution-Focused interventions, Motivational Interviewing, and psychoeducation, always tailoring treatment to each client's unique needs and goals.

Jordan's therapeutic philosophy centers on the belief that every person deserves a space where they feel genuinely heard, understood, and accepted. Recognizing that healing isn't one-size-fits-all, Jordan works collaboratively alongside each client to understand their unique experiences, strengths, and goals while creating a supportive environment where growth can happen at a comfortable pace. What Jordan finds most rewarding about being a therapist is witnessing the transformation that occurs when clients begin to recognize their own resilience—whether it's finding the courage to face a fear, processing difficult experiences, setting healthy boundaries, or simply realizing they are stronger than they once believed. Jordan's hope is that every person leaves therapy not only feeling supported, but also empowered with greater confidence, self-understanding, and hope for the future.

Jordan became a therapist out of a deep belief that healing often begins with connection—sometimes it only takes one person to truly listen, offer encouragement, and create a safe space for someone to feel seen and understood. For Jordan, being that person can make a lasting difference, especially for children and adolescents who need reassurance, consistency, and someone who believes in them during life's most challenging moments. Outside of the therapy room, Jordan enjoys prioritizing physical wellness through yoga and Pilates, working on home decorating and DIY projects, and spending quality time with her dogs. One of Jordan's favorite ways to recharge is by attending live concerts—there's something special about experiencing music in person. These activities help Jordan stay grounded and maintain the balance that is essential for both personal well-being and professional growth.
