About Allison
Allison Klee, LMHC, brings a decade of compassionate mental health counseling experience to her practice at Mobile Counseling of New York. She earned her Master's in Mental Health Counseling from Canisius College and St. John Fisher in 2017, and holds diagnostic privilege certification. Allison's journey into mental health began through personal family experiences, where she witnessed firsthand both the challenges of mental health struggles and the transformative power of compassionate, effective care. This unique perspective shapes her empathetic approach and deep understanding of what clients and their families experience.
Specializing in trauma, anxiety, depression, PTSD, and burnout, Allison works exclusively with adults using a diverse range of evidence-based therapeutic modalities. Her toolkit includes Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), person-centered therapy, and psychodynamic approaches. What sets Allison apart is her commitment to flexibility and individualization—she tailors each intervention to meet her clients' unique needs while maintaining a foundation rooted in empathy, authenticity, and collaboration.
Allison's therapeutic philosophy centers on creating a safe, non-judgmental space where clients feel truly seen, heard, and understood. She believes that healing occurs within the context of strong therapeutic relationships, prioritizing trust and rapport as the foundation for meaningful change. What she finds most rewarding about her work are those powerful "lightbulb moments" when clients begin to see themselves and their experiences with greater clarity and compassion, realizing they are not alone in their struggles.
Outside of her clinical work, Allison enjoys creative pursuits including book nooking, drawing, and calligraphy. Her artistic interests reflect her attention to detail and appreciation for beauty in everyday life. Fun fact: she won a vacation during Tim Hortons' Roll Up the Rim contest in 2021, proving that sometimes life's unexpected surprises can bring joy and adventure when we least expect them.
