Matthew Scheuer, LCSW

As Director of Operations, Clinical Supervisor, and Mobile Clinician at Mobile Counseling of New York, Matthew’s background in the fields of both healthcare and military are critical to our organization.
In both direct care and leadership roles, Matthew has served diverse populations across Central and Western New York and treated a multitude of psychological disorders. He is a 13-year veteran and Captain of the United States Army, serving as a Medical Service Corps officer with various levels of leadership in military healthcare.

During his time at the Crisis Response for the Veterans Crisis Line with the Department of Veteran Affairs, he helped Veterans in the midst of a crisis by utilizing various therapeutic techniques and interventions to stabilize them until help arrived.
​
Matthew has served two combat tours in Afghanistan and is a member of the National Association of Social Workers, a Gold Legacy Life Member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars and Life Member of the American Legion.
