She earned her Master’s degree from the University at Buffalo in 2024 and has specialized training in EMDR, Expressive Arts Therapy, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT).
With a family-centered and expressive approach, Cynthia integrates Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), Schema-Focused Therapy, ACT, and Expressive Arts Therapy into her work, creating a space where clients can explore their emotions, process experiences, and embrace their authentic selves.
Therapeutic Philosophy & Approach

Cynthia is inspired by the words of Gaston Bachelard, who wrote:
"We comfort ourselves by reliving memories of protection… we are never real historians, but always near poets, and our emotion is perhaps nothing but an expression of a poetry that was lost."
Guided by this perspective, Cynthia believes that therapy is about learning to look at our emotions—both joyful and painful—without fear. By embracing our experiences and being present in our daily lives, we can better understand our personal journeys and step into our fullest selves.
