Brianna R. Hotaling, LMSW
Hey there! I’m Brianna R. Hotaling (She/Her), a Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) practicing in the state of New York (#121264). With over 2 years of experience in the mental health field, I’m passionate about supporting children, teens, and adults as they work through life’s challenges and uncover their strengths.

Education & Credentials:
I earned my Master of Social Work degree from the University at Buffalo in 2023. I also hold a Bachelor of Social Work from Keuka College, where I built a strong foundation in ethical, trauma-informed care. In addition to my degrees, I’m trained in a range of evidence-based approaches, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), Play Therapy, and Solution-Focused Therapy—which allows me to tailor sessions to meet your unique needs.

Areas of Specialization:

I specialize in helping clients navigate anxiety, depression, trauma, self-esteem issues, and major life adjustments. I work with children, adolescents, and adults—often supporting individuals with behavioral concerns, family relationship challenges, and emotional regulation difficulties.
Whether we’re exploring identity or managing a tough transition, my goal is to make therapy a space where you feel seen, heard, and safe to grow.

Therapeutic Approach:

At the core of my practice is a person-centered, strengths-based approach. I believe you are the expert on your own life—and my role is to help guide and support you as we uncover the tools you already hold within. I strive to create a warm, empowering space where clients can explore their thoughts, feel validated, and build the skills they need to move forward confidently.
I often use creativity, play, and mindfulness in my work with children and teens, while integrating more solution-focused and cognitive strategies with older clients.

Why I Chose This Path:

I’ve always been driven to help others feel understood and capable of change. Seeing clients grow and realize they canmove forward—no matter where they’ve been—is what fuels my passion for this work.

Outside the Therapy Space:

When I’m not working with clients, I love to express my creativity through writing and crafts. I’m also a big fan of family time and exploring the outdoors! Fun fact? I’m the proud dog mom to two wonderful pups who keep me active and bring tons of joy into my life.
