Alicia Alfred, LCSW
Hi there! I’m Alicia Alfred (She/Her), a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) based in New York (#098711), and I’ve spent the last decade helping individuals and couples heal, grow, and rediscover themselves. Whether you're working through trauma, navigating anxiety, or recovering from narcissistic abuse, I’m here to walk alongside you with compassion, insight, and a whole lot of heart.

Education & Credentials:

I earned my Master’s in Social Work in 2013 after attending Dutchess Community College, Mercy College, and Adelphi University. Over the years, I’ve expanded my clinical toolkit with training in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Motivational Interviewing—allowing me to provide dynamic, individualized care to the people I serve.

Areas of Specialization:

I specialize in working with teens through adults, supporting them through trauma, anxiety, complex mental health challenges, couples issues, and narcissistic abuse recovery. Whether you're facing relational difficulties or struggling with internal battles, my goal is to help you feel safe, seen, and supported as we work toward meaningful change.

Therapeutic Style:

My therapeutic style is grounded, empathetic, and goal-focused. I believe in meeting you exactly where you are—emotionally, mentally, and spiritually—and guiding you from there. Together, we’ll identify your goals and gently move through barriers so you can reach them.
There is something incredibly fulfilling about witnessing someone realize their own progress. Watching a client achieve their goals and reclaim their life—that’s what keeps me going.

Why I Do This Work:

I became a therapist because I’ve always felt a deep call to help others. Every story matters. Every person deserves healing. And I’m honored to hold space for that transformation to unfold.

Outside the Office:

When I’m not doing therapy, you’ll find me spending time with my two big lovable dogs who always manage to make life a little more joyful (and furry!). I’m also a big believer in finding balance, whether that’s through nature, movement, or simply slowing down.
